Well according to folklore the flags design dates back to the 1400s and is attributed to a guy called Siant Piran, the patron saint of Corwnall. According to the history books Piran was an Irish holy man who somehow floated across the Irish sea and landed on a beach at Perranzbuloe near Newquay!!! Everyday is a school day!!!
